Message from the
Vice-Chancellor of Rangamati Science and Technology University
Embracing the scenic beauty of the lake, hilly views
and greeneries, the Rangamati Science and Technology University, at its
adolescence, advances to be shoot up to make a thrive with great aspiration of
quality education, cutting-edge research and formidable development of self-reliant
human resources. The University, through a lot of hurdles and challenges since
its foundation, is looking forward to welcoming aesthetically exquisite infrastructures,
academic elevation, strategic innovation, value creation, and extended outreach
activities adding distinctive features to make it one of the most appealing
Universities in Bangladesh.
It is deeply meaningful to rewind the time I started
my journey in Rangamati Science and Technology University on 10 January 2025
which envisioned to reshape the motivational setbacks of all the stakes of the
university including the faculty members, staffs and students. Within the
soonest possible measure, the architectural harmonization, accommodative amenities
and curricular eases have been ensured through recruiting new faculty members
and revitalization approaches eventually to address the course backlog of
different departments. The under
constructed new infrastructures including student’s dormitory, academic and
administrative buildings are pronouncing our dedication for a new height of the
university while the unique- structured monument holding the aspiration of 52,
71 and 24 are aesthetically glorifying the historical journey of our motherland
with utmost passion.
As part
of diversity and inclusion, RMSTU is moving to build a strong network and
societal partnership with academic institutions and industries with whom we can
share our common goals, both at home and abroad, and collaborate dynamically to
embark on promoting initiatives to reconnect learning process while resolutely tackling
complex global issues and contributing to a harmonious global community. In addition, we are regularly gathering outstanding people
with diverse backgrounds as faculty, staff and students, and create a domain
where they can bloom. We desperately aim to improve the quality of faculty and
staff members’ time and work, to make RMSTU a parlance where people will gather
from far-reach of the world and join for innovation.
Team Building, faithfulness, courage, and compassion from the coherent stakes of RMSTU are already in process of embodiment to form a solid foundation of academic freedom, alumni connections, community engagement and future leadership development who will not only just stand in the forefront and take charge but also lead the next generation to bring out the ideas and strengths for embracing the changes. Apart from a typical academic thrive, exploring creative tourism concept, unfolding the benefits of Kaptai Lake and nurturing forest and biodiversity in Rangamati will definitely help produce future academic leaders from RMSTU, I assure. We are committed to strengthen our research capability, solve the pressing challenges of our time including climate change adaptation, disaster resilience, livelihood improvement in adjacent localities, building harmonious campus, conserving biodiversity, and creating an environment anchored on education, peace, security, justice, equality, and the protection of human rights. All these will reflect how we love to reconnect our social values with mottos.
Our radical efforts and tireless works in opening new
platforms, encouraging entrepreneurship, electrifying scientific modes, galvanizing student’s curiosity, renavigating communication,
nurturing creativity and stimulating medical facilities will reflect our potentials to
reshape RMSTU indeed. The precious and profound integrity of RMSTU family
members will undoubtedly bring pride of being the most unprecedented dignity
and honor achieved by our remarkable journey.
I wish and seek help from the Almighty for the
continuous improvement and success of RMSTU.
