The Journal of Rangamati Science and Technology University (JRMSTU) is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal that aims to publish biannually finest research and review articles in the field of Physical science, Natural science, Business studies and Social science.The journal also publishes original research and review articles from various disciplines and other interdisciplinary approaches.

The journal is primarily dedicated to publish research articles for widest dissemination to scientific community and is open to all researchers of diverse fields. This scholarly open access journal welcomes articles of recent approaches and innovative research with reliable and authentic source of information on the findings and current developments in broader aspects of multi-disciplines.

Guidelines for the Authors

1 Style and formatting

1.1 Language

English is the only language to be used for articles to the JRMSTU. The manuscript should be written entirely in English. The papers should be written clearly, precisely, and concisely without any ambiguities.  

1.2 File format

The manuscript file(s) should be as DOC/DOCX format. The manuscript must be submitted unlocked or unprotected. Manuscript prepared as LaTeX, must be submitted as PDFs.

1.3 Font size and spacing

Paper: A4 standard size with 1-inch margins on all sides; Font; Times New Roman, 12 size; Line spacing: 1.5 throughout the manuscript.

1.4. Manuscript length, page and line numbers

The maximum length of a complete manuscript is 15-20 typed pages including illustrations. Use standard symbols for measurements and the International System (S.I.) for units. The finally published articles should be preferably within 8-10 printed pages. Page numbers and line numbers should be included in the bottom of the manuscript file. Use continuous line numbers and do not restart the numbering on each page

1.5 Nomenclature, abbreviations and symbols

Use SI units (e.g., L for liters). Always leave a space between units. Do not use abbreviations in the title. Abbreviations should be spelled out at the first occurrence with the abbreviations, in parentheses, immediately following.

Use Cambria Math font for equations. Present simple formulae in the line of normal text wherever possible. Number consecutively any equations that have to be displayed separately from the text.Write in italics for species name/scientific name (e.g., Homo sapiens).

1.6 Headings

Divide the article/manuscript into clearly defined sections. Please bold the heading of each section, use italic for the sub-heading. Each heading should appear on its own separate line. Headings should be written in sentence case (capitalize only the first word of the heading, the first word of the subheading, and any proper nouns and genus names).

1.7 Figures

Each figure should have a concise caption describing accurately what the figure depicts. Include the captions in the text file of the manuscript, not in the figure file. Figure Citations; Cite figures as “Fig 1”, “Fig 2”, etc. Cite figures and tables in the order of appearance. Do not cite “Fig 2” before “Fig 1”. Cite multiple figures as “Figs 1 and 2”, “Figs 1-3”, etc. Each figure should be provided separately with a title (in bold), numbered consecutively and referred to in the text.

1.8 Tables

Tables and Table Citations; Tables should be cited as “Table 1”, “Table 2”, etc. Cite multiple tables as “Tables 1 and 2”, “Tables 1-3”, etc. Tables should be included directly after the paragraph in which they are first cited. Tables must be cell-based in Microsoft Word, not embedded and/or exported from Microsoft Excel. Do not use empty rows to create spacing. Do not include graphic objects, images, or colored text. Each table should be provided separately with a title (in bold), numbered consecutively and referred to in the text. Add footnote just below the tables whenever needed.

1.9 Artwork

Make sure the use of uniform lettering and sizing of the original artwork.Save text in illustrations as “graphics” or enclose the font.Only use the following fonts in your illustrations: Arial, Times New Roman and Symbol.Number the illustrations according to their sequence in the text.Use a logical naming convention for your artwork files.Produce images near to the desired size of the printed version.Provide JPEG/TIFF files, NOT lower than 300DPI. The JRMSTU prefers both the color figures for all illustration; no additional charge for color figures. Color figures will be appeared on electronic format. The figures will be in the gray scale in the printed version of the accepted manuscript.

1.10. Photographs

Photographs should be of high contrast glossy, black and white prints. 

1.11 Correspondence

All correspondence, including notification of the Editor’s decision and requests for revision, will be done by e-mail.An acknowledgment e-mail regarding the receipt of author’s manuscript will be promptly sent. All correspondence will be directed to the corresponding author. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to communicate with the other author(s)/ coauthor(s). If the manuscript is accepted for publication, it will be submitted to the publisher where it will be typeset. After typesetting, the corresponding author will be sent a proof of the manuscript to proofread. The corresponding author of the paper will be required to return the proof within 48 hours to the publisher.

2. Organization of the manuscript

The manuscript should follow the organization, the first page (cover page) should only include the   manuscript title, authors’ name & affiliation(s), address of correspondence (phone & e-mail address), manuscript information (numbers of pages, figures, tables etc.), 3-5 keywords, and a running title. The second page should include title and abstract only. The following pages should follow introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements, references/ literature cited, funding information and declaration of conflict of interest. The manuscripts, which do not comply with the formatting conditions explained in the style and format section will be returned back to the corresponding author and will only be taken into consideration for final reviewing when it fulfills the mentioned standards.

2.1 Title

The title should be brief but specific enough to illustrate the contents/significance of the manuscript. Title must be concise and informative and not more than 24 words. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible. The title font will be Times New Roman of size 12.

2.2 Authors

Write the full name of the author(s). The corresponding author must be indicated by asterisk (*) symbol and it is mandatory to indicate e-mail address, telephone number with country code and area code. The author font size will be 10, and affiliation Font size will be 8.

Affiliation: Present the authors’ affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript number immediately after the author’s name and in front of the appropriate address. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name, and, if available, the e-mail address of each author. Font size: 8.

2.3 Abstract

The abstract should contain 300 words (maximum) and should concisely summarize the contents of the article. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, key findings, recommendations and major conclusions and preferably with no references/citation unless unavoidable.

 

2.4 Introduction

State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background from literature. Should remove the unnecessary description and present the background with proper citation. The length of the introduction should not exceed a single page in the final printed version.

2.5 Materials and Methods

The experimental methods should be described after the introduction section. Detailed experimental descriptions should be restricted to one section of the paper. Sufficient detail should be given to allow researcher to reproduce the procedures described independently. Procedural steps should not be numbered.

2.6 Results and Discussion

Results should be clear and concise. This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature. JRMSTU does not encourage dual presentation of results, i.e. presenting the same results in Tables and Figures. Authors are free to discuss the results and discussion together and separately.

2.7 Conclusion

This should include key findings of the research, quantitative analytical performance figures (if appropriate), effective recommendations and their significance.

2.8 Acknowledgements (if any)

Insert acknowledgements only in a separate section at the end of the article before the references. List here those individuals who provided help during the research.

2.9 References

All literature used during the preparation of the paper should be acknowledged in the reference section. The references cited in the text should be listed. References in text should be cited following the IEEE reference style (https://ieeeauthorcenter.ieee.org/wp-content/uploads/IEEE-Reference-Guide.pdf)

 

2.9.1 Citation in the text

IEEE citations are numbered [1] in style and each citation number should be enclosed in square brackets [ ]on the same line as the text, before any punctuation, with a space before the bracket [2]. The same citation number can be re-used for all subsequent citations to the same source. Here are some examples of IEEE style citation in the text:

“... as shown by Brown [4], as previously stated.”

"The theory was first put forward in 1987 [1]."

“For example, see [7].”

"Several recent studies [3, 4, 15, 16] have suggested that..."

The example above may also be formatted as:

“Several recent studies [3], [4], [15], [16] have suggested that…”

“…as mentioned earlier [2], [4]–[7], [9]”

“Smith [4] and Brown and Jones [5]”

 “Wood etal. [7]”

NOTE: Use et al. when three or more names are given for a reference cited in the text.or as nouns:as demonstrated in [3]; according to [4] and [6]–[9].

2.3 Submission of Papers

The main text is required in DOC file (word). The paper should be sent preferably in MS word or Latex format.  Submission to this journal proceeds totally online. Please save the document as *.DOC or *.DOCX (Microsoft Office Word File). Send the manuscripts to editor.jrmstu@gmail.com. JRMSTU will soon start accepting manuscript through online submission portal.

While submitting the manuscript, please include a cover letter to the editor as separate file or mention the following statements in the body of mail:

-          - All the authors approved that the paper to be submitted to JRMSTU

-          - The article is original and is the work of the authors

-          - The novelty or significance of the findings

 

While submitting, the author(s) warrant the following:

-          - The material submitted nor the modified form has been published before.

-          - The manuscript is not in the process of review in any other journal.

-          - A paper accepted for publication will not be published elsewhere (wholly or partly), without the written permission of JRMSTU.

-          - Submission of the manuscript has been obviously approved by all authors.

All manuscripts will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers and will be checked with a plagiarism detector software.
