Dr. Nikhil Chakma has more than 12-year of professional working experiences at national and international development organizations and academic institutions in Bangladesh. His major field of expertise include National Forest inventory, food security, extreme poverty, natural resource management, biodiversity and conservation, crop pest management, and overall livelihood development of the rural people. In 2015, he awarded PhD in Bamboo and rodent ecology from University of Dhaka and completed Bachelor (Honors) and Master degree in Forestry from the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He has more than 10 publications related to his field of expertise. He attended and presented scientific research findings in different national and international seminars/conference/workshops/training in United States of America (USA), Germany, Thailand, Australia, South Africa and Philippines.
